MCAHN would like to announce that the McMaster University Student Chapter has won the MCAA Student Chapter Competition at the annual MCAA conference held in San Diego, California, the week of March 14-16.
The McMaster Student Chapter placed first in the competition going against top talented student chapters from the USA. Second place went to Missouri State and honorable mentions were awarded to Kansas State University and Kent State University.
"The event was incredible," said Student Chapter President Scott McDougall. "The Americans know how to put on a show, and the association knows how to take care of its people. Based on the events we attended, the industry really understands the challenges it faces and has strong values."
Leisha Fernando also took home the award for "Most Outstanding Presenter."
Congratulations to the entire competition team: Scott McDougall, Leisha Fernando, Brooke VanBuskirk, Nathalie Sa'adeh, Nicole-Marie Sa'adeh, Gavin Boyd and Andrew Wahba.
MACHN would like to thank faculty advisor Dr. Stephen Veldhuis, MCAHN mentor Kyle Getty and the rest of their MCAHN mentors for their continued and unwavering support of the Student Chapter program. This is a huge accomplishment for these talented students, and we wish them the best in their future careers.
