Introducing the Native Women’s Association of Canada's National Apprenticeships Program

The Native Women’s Association of Canada's (NWAC's) National Apprenticeships Program (NAP) is a tool towards reconciliation, creating welcoming workplaces for Indigenous Women to thrive by fighting their under-representation in the skilled trades and providing a wide pool of candidates to help the industry battle the shortage of workers.

If you are an employer in construction or manufacturing and you are looking for skilled workers, NWAC will support your efforts by giving you access to NAP’s job board where Indigenous Women apprentices are ready and motivated to start learning as a new first-year Red Seal apprentice and the Government of Canada will grant up to $10,000 to cover the cost of the on-the-job training.
