We would like to remind you that the next MCA Canada Annual National Conference will be held at the Silverado Resort in Napa Valley, California on October 18-21, 2023.
We anticipate this conference to sell out quickly, so mark your calendars now.
In this day and age where good talent is hard to find and even harder to retain, diversity is key. The need to create an organization that is inclusive and welcoming of people who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Colour is increasingly important. After all, when companies hire and build such diverse workforces, they inspire workers to be their best, and they create powerful workplace cultures.
Created for company leaders and managers, BuildForce Canada’s Introduction to Understanding Systemic Racism e-learning course helps build awareness about systemic racism, and provides information and strategies to help organizations develop and revise policies and processes to create workplaces that are inclusive of – and welcoming to – people of all backgrounds and ethnicities.
Key outcomes for learners include:
- understanding the concepts of racism, systemic racism, systemic bias, and unconscious bias,
- recognizing and reducing unconscious biases,
- recognizing different levels of systemic bias within an organization, and
- building strategies and supporting methods to eliminate or reduce systemic bias in your organization.
The Introduction to Understanding Systemic Racism course consists of about three hours of self-paced instruction. Additionally, it has been accredited by the Canadian Construction Association.
MCA Canada is an official distributor partner for this and other BuildForce Canada e-learning courses. Contact us to enrol.
