In addition to 850 exhibits from leading material handling and supply chain solution providers, MODEX 2022 will include four keynotes and over 100 show floor educational seminars covering leading trends, best practices and state-of-the-art equipment and technology solutions that can make manufacturing and the entire supply chain work more resiliently, efficiently and profitably.
Automated Storage/Retrieval Systems (ASRS) members are the Industry’s leading suppliers of automated storage/retrieval systems. Depending on where a warehouse or distribution center (DC) is located within the United States, the design and engineering of its industrial steel storage rack structures may be subject to seismic requirements. A series of calculations and tests must be performed in order to verify the stiffness (ability to resist rotation) and strength (ability to resist moment force) of a rack’s beam-to-column connection. The stiffer and stronger a connection is, the lower the risk of collapse due to the forces of an earthquake.

Sustainability

The idea of environmentally friendly warehouses took off a few years back. Big brands announced plans—and many of them have since come to fruition. The United States Green Building Council, which oversees the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) designation program, touts a few, in particular.
As global warming continues and world leaders negotiate regulations to minimize the damage humans have inflicted on Earth, multiple global corporations have already established sustainability initiatives that support internal goals, as well as those of their customers.
There is a cost associated with the rise of ecommerce and the tremendous convenience of having virtually any item delivered to your doorstep within days, or even hours: packaging. With the increase in awareness of and concern about global warming, shoppers are increasingly expecting retailers and shippers to use more sustainable packaging.
