The impact of Hurricane Helene and the coming impact of Hurricane Milton are incredibly saddening. The road to recovery will be long and arduous. The American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) is actively responding to these needs as it has for over 19 years. To help support the relief efforts, the MHI Board of Governors has approved a resolution to provide a $200,000 donation to ALAN.

The Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC), a division of MHI, has announced the launch of new team membership options for warehousing and distribution center professionals. In addition to the benefits of WERC individual membership, the new team memberships provide extra value by including the six-course Distribution Logistics Education Program and WERC’s DC Measures Report and Online Benchmarking Tool.
The Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC) has just launched the fifth course in its comprehensive Distribution Logistics Education Program. This new offering, titled Performance & Metrics, is tailored for logistics professionals focused on performance management and strategic decision-making in distribution facilities. Big changes are coming for manufacturers and importers with the EPA’s latest rule under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), which aims to address per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). This rule requires companies that manufactured or imported PFAS or PFAS-containing products between 2011 and 2022 to submit comprehensive reports by January 11, 2026.

The Fed’s decision to cut interest rates by 0.5% brings some welcome news to the supply chain.
