During the April 5 keynote, Scott Sopher, the principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP’s Supply Chain practice will join MHI CEO George Prest and leaders from Walmart, UPS, Albertsons, U.S. Cellular, Upskill and the University of Tennessee to present the findings of the 2017 report detailing the nine innovations that are driving the change from traditional to digital supply chains. 

So there’s this stereotype that supply chain, material handling and manufacturing is just a field for the old boy’s club. That it’s just running heavy machinery and moving boxes around. But it is so much more. Supply chains adapt to customers’ needs and they need it better, faster and all around the world. Brand new to ProMat this year is the Autonomous Vehicle Solution Center that will host feature presentations daily. The center will feature an array of autonomous systems including automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), automatic guided vehicles (AGVs), self-driving vehicles (SDVs), delivery drones and automated cranes.
