NACS—The supermarket chain Kroger is testing robotic vehicles at a Fry’s store in Arizona. The robotic vehicle brings groceries from the store to a customer’s house. While a human is present during the test runs, the plan is to remove the human “driver” in the fall and continue testing with unmanned autonomous vehicles.

According to the national survey of nearly 16,000 hourly workers, wage corrections, shift preferences and more flexible human resource policies hold the key to attracting and retaining hourly workers as the holiday peak season approaches.

Global Trade
Inbound Logistics—Millennial consumers rank timeliness of deliveries as high on the list of requirements for customer satisfaction, according to a study of 3,000 consumers in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. The study, conducted by e-commerce company Radial, found that over one-third — 39.7% — of respondents ages 18 to 24 had speed of delivery as their main concern when shopping online.
