Event Recap: MPISCC Grateful Gathering: November 2021

Moving on to dinner, we made our way into the Terrace Dining Room, which looked dazzling thanks to décor by Don Atlas. Our entertainment for the night rocked it while we enjoyed a three-course meal. I still dream of the beef short ribs – oh, the jus! And I went for not one, but two cups of the hot chocolate by Arrvo Coffee because I just had to see the super cool frothy MPI logo design on top more than once. It wasn’t about the chocolate. Not at all.
We were able to hear from our board leadership – past, present and future – as well as members about the impact the chapter has made on their lives and careers, emphasizing even more why we should all donate and bid on the auction items. With prizes like a weekend stay at Loews Coronado, a crate of delicious Santa Barbara wines and a four-course meal at Spago, everyone was quietly checking their phones every so often to ensure they didn’t get outbid.
Finally, the bidding closed, and I was successfully the winner of four LA Galaxy tickets. Even better, our chapter met its fundraising goal of $8,000!
In the end my favorite part was catching up with fellow MPISCC members and introducing them to my husband. This group is always beyond welcoming, and I’m grateful to be a part of it. Pretty fitting for a “Grateful Gathering,” huh?
