With myriad ways to engage an audience—television, radio, print, digital and social media advertising, for example—research shows that consumers are tuning out and skipping ads more frequently than ever. But there's a approach that's proving more difficult for consumers to ignore: guerilla marketing. This method incorporates an element of surprise and has been a powerful tool to elevate engagement and increase event sponsorship.

While there are more options than ever for meetings to occur virtually, a reported 30% of marketing budgets in 2020 are expected to be spent on live events, and face-to-face meetings still hold a crucial part in creating lasting, meaningful connections. And while the coming year will certainly see more virtual offerings, event marketing remains a large priority for brands seeking to invest in these connections.
