GMID 2023 Impacts the Audience

MPI Toronto gave AI and ChatGPT a bigger stage on March 29. The pre-global event was a smart decision as the Toronto chapter did not want to compete with the global event.

Shangri-La played host and in-kind sponsor which was the first time that the chapter had ever executed an event in this location. The hotel management made us feel special and welcomed. The high tea experience in which we indulged was a crowd pleaser.

So, what made this event different? When you arrived, you were registered and invited to try a mimosa sponsored by Destination Toronto our networking sponsor. They wanted to celebrate GMID and toast the industry.

Our AV sponsor, Epiq Vision, stepped up to sponsor the entire AV required to run this event. We are so grateful to Jordan Benson for his generosity and seamless delivery.

Explore Edmonton, our spotlight and education sponsor, gave 6 student memberships to be organized at a later date. Their support matters and students appreciate the opportunity to gather professional development, networking, and mentoring.

What made the day so powerful was our speaker Mohit Rajhans, who is a trailblazer, media personality, and AI & ChatGPT expert. He delivered the most empowering, authentic, and knowledgeable speaking engagement, which was appreciated by all in attendance. There were more questions than there was time for. Our industry is curious, fascinated, and concerned with these emerging technologies and hearing the good, the bad, and the ugly is something that every event professional should be aware of.

There was plenty of buzz after the event and the committee who worked diligently throughout the process were ecstatic with the results. These individuals made a difference and were there from the get go until the end. Desmond Lomas, Janice Cardinale, Elizabeth Mitchell, Matthew Blackburn, and Shannon Abbott.

Until next year,
