Dear MPI Toronto Chapter Members:

I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the summer season. As we transition from summer to fall, it's time to embrace the "back to school" spirit, focusing on professional growth and development. I am excited to share some highlights and upcoming opportunities that will keep you engaged and inspired.

Firstly, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in our Summer Fundraiser at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in June. The event was a tremendous success, and we are grateful to the MTCC for their generous support and for hosting us in such an exceptional venue. Your enthusiasm and contributions made this event memorable and impactful.

As we wrap up the Canadian Meetings and Events Expo, I am pleased to report that our MPI Toronto Chapter Breakfast was a resounding success for the second consecutive year. I want to extend our sincere thanks to the Hotel Intercontinental Toronto for their wonderful hospitality and to Discover Saskatoon for their generous sponsorship.

The breakfast served as an excellent kickoff to CMEE, and we were delighted to raise funds for the MPI Foundation during the event.

With the fall season upon us, it’s a great time to "fall back to school" and dive into professional development. We are thrilled to offer a range of exciting programming designed to support your growth:

  • DEI Lunch and Learn: Join us on September 10th for an insightful session focusing on best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion. This open-forum virtual event will provide valuable insights and foster meaningful discussions on these crucial topics.
  • The EVENT in Ottawa: From September 22-24, we will be participating in the EVENT, MPI’s premier Canadian industry gathering offering exceptional learning and networking opportunities.
  • Toronto Professional Development Event: In November, get ready for a full day Professional Development event in Toronto, continuing our commitment to delivering valuable learning experiences.

Additionally, our membership survey is now open and will remain active until August 20th. Your feedback is vital to us as it helps us understand and better meet the needs of our members. We encourage you to share your thoughts and suggestions to help us continue improving and providing valuable services.

As we head into this new season, we are also gearing up for a busy period of volunteering. With the back-to-school season upon us, it's a fantastic time to get involved and contribute your skills and time to our chapter. We have numerous volunteering opportunities available, and your involvement is essential to our continued success. If you’re interested in volunteering, please reach out to us—we would love to have you on board.

Thank you once again for your continued support and active participation. Your dedication plays a significant role in our chapter's achievements and growth. Here's to a vibrant and productive fall season!

Warm regards,
