Dear MPI Toronto Chapter Members,

As my term as President comes to a close, it is with a deep sense of gratitude and pride that I write to you one last time in this capacity. Serving as your President has been an incredible honour and a rewarding journey, one that I will always look back on with great fondness.

Over the past 18 months, this board has accomplished more than I could have ever imagined. What began as an unprecedented term length due to fiscal alignment, became an opportunity for growth and transformation. I want to sincerely thank each and every member of the board for their dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to this chapter. Together, we’ve faced challenges, embraced change, and celebrated many successes, and it has been a privilege to lead such an incredible team.

Our chapter is stronger than ever, and I am proud to say that we are growing both in numbers and in influence. We have hosted remarkable events that have brought us together in learning, networking, and celebration—each one a testament to the hard work of our volunteers, committee members, and staff. From our industry-leading professional development events to our community-building social gatherings, these moments of connection are what make MPI Toronto truly special.

As I pass the baton to our incoming President, Zaman Ishaad, I do so with complete confidence that the future of our chapter is in excellent hands. Zaman brings a wealth of experience, vision, and passion for our industry, and I am excited to see the continued growth and success that lies ahead under his leadership. Please join me in welcoming Zaman to his new role, and I encourage you to support him as you have supported me throughout my term.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank each of you, our members, for the privilege of serving as your President. Your engagement, enthusiasm, and support have made all this possible. It has been a true honour to work alongside such a dynamic, passionate group of professionals. Your commitment to our chapter’s mission has been the driving force behind everything we’ve achieved together.

Thank you for entrusting me with this role and thank you for your continued involvement in MPI Toronto. I look forward to seeing all the great things our chapter will continue to accomplish as we move into the next chapter with Zaman at the helm.

Warm regards,

River
