Dear MPI Toronto Chapter Members,
As April unfolds, it's a time of reflection and anticipation for our chapter. I am delighted to share with you some exciting updates and upcoming events that underscore our commitment to excellence and collaboration within the meetings and events industry.
First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the recipients of this year's MPI Toronto Chapter Awards. These individuals have exemplified excellence in their dedication, service, and involvement within our chapter and the broader community. Your contributions are truly commendable, and I am honored to celebrate your achievements.
Our recent Awards Gala was a testament to the strength and camaraderie of our community. I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this event, from our organizing committee and volunteers to our sponsors and attendees. Your support and enthusiasm made the evening unforgettable.
Looking ahead, we have an important event on the horizon: Global Meetings Industry Day on April 11th. This annual celebration recognizes the impact of our industry on the Canadian economy and beyond. It is a day to come together and celebrate our achievements, share best practices, and advocate for the continued growth and success of our industry.
This year holds special significance as we return to the spirit of collaboration that marked the inaugural Global Meetings Industry Day in 1996. I am pleased to announce that we will be partnering with our colleagues from SITE, CanSPEP, PCMA, and ILEA for this important event. Together, we will showcase the strength and resilience of our industry and reaffirm our commitment to driving positive change.
As we prepare to come together for Global Meetings Industry Day, let us reflect on the power of collaboration and the impact that we can achieve when we work together towards a common goal. I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and look forward to celebrating with each of you on April 11.
Thank you once again to all who contribute to the success of our chapter, your dedication and passion are truly appreciated.
Warm regards,
Alissa Hurley, CMM, CED
