Last Comments from the Chair’s Chair

After 18 months, my time as Chair of the MPI Toronto Communications has come to an end. I couldn’t let the passing of the baton over to Monika Chase pass without a few comments.

First, a huge thank you to Terry Cunningham who has been the driving force behind the In the Know e-
newsletters over the past 18 months. She has worked with numerous authors, edited just about
every article and ensured each issue was of value to our community. Thanks to Monica Monroy for
overseeing a number of the blogs that have been sponsored by MPI Toronto, and to the other members
of the Communications Committee who have contributed articles: Pat Cluett, Julie Tedesco, Tuesday
Johnson-MacDonald, and Lizzy Low.

Second, my sincere appreciation to Brenda Perrin who was the Director of Communications for the past 18 months. Brenda has been a great sounding board, collaborator, and coach throughout my term. I could not have had a better friend and mentor.

Next, thanks to all the team at the MPI Toronto office who assisted in every way possible. I would be remiss if I did not say that our Chapter is amazingly well served by Leslie, Nikki, Erinn and everyone else in the MPI Toronto office and they make volunteering with MPI an amazing experience. If you have never participated with our Chapter as a volunteer, I sincerely recommend it.

Finally, thanks to you – every MPI member and visitor – who has read our submissions and shared them with others in our M&E industry. It has been great to hear from some of you who have made comments or shared ideas. I wish all of you a very happy and successful 2025.
