MPI Toronto Chapter welcomes the following new members who have joined since the last issue of the newsletter.

I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the summer season. As we transition from summer to fall, it's time to embrace the "back to school" spirit, focusing on professional growth and development. I am excited to share some highlights and upcoming opportunities that will keep you engaged and inspired.

As event planners, we know that every experience we create can present its own distinctive set of challenges. How about planning an event for the first time ever at a decommissioned prison…with no utilities or facilities (except electricity)…for a group of Association Executives…with a hurricane?

MPI Toronto acknowledges that the land its members live and work on is the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and Wendat Peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and that our chapter membership falls across Ontario where there are 133 distinct First Nations.

Despite a little rain, the MPI Toronto Chapter’s Summer Social Fundraiser shone brightly on the first day of summer, June 20, 2024, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC). This year's event, held in conjunction with MTCC’s 40th Anniversary Celebration, was truly a night to remember.

This fun networking event once again proved to be another resounding success with a fun day had by all while on the links. There was a lot of great shots and great interaction with our sponsors. With the weather on our side and good food and fabulous prizes, the day turned out to be perfect. You will not want to miss this event next year.
