With Mother Nature’s recent winter arrival, it means that we bundle up in our heavy jacket, cozy scarf, trendy toque and fuzzy mittens before we brave the elements. However, it is a sad truth that there are many members of our very own community who will have trouble keeping warm this season. The MPI Toronto Chapter’s ECOS Committee recently placed a social media driven call to action in support of the Yonge Street Mission. As a result of the winter clothing drive, we proudly collected 15 fully packed bags of clothes at the November Signature Series.
These items were delivered to Double Take, the Mission’s thrift store that not only provides their clients with a way to obtain warm winter clothes and business attire for job interviews but also supplies training and employment opportunities.
A sincere thank you is extended to everyone who contributed and if you would like to learn more about The Yonge Street Mission and other ways you can make a difference, please visit www.ysm.ca.

The MPI Toronto Chapter ECOS Committee is very excited to announce our second initiative that will be taking place at the BMO Learning Centre in February at our Signature Series. In partnership with the BMO Learning Centre, 250 trays of food will be prepared and delivered to the Scott Mission to be served for lunch and dinner.
The Scott Mission provides practical, emotional and spiritual support for thousands of people each year. The Mission - a Christian, non-denominational organization based in downtown Toronto - offers many programs to support the poor and homeless in our community.
