JUST NETWORKING, November 18, 2022
On November 18th, MPI Toronto’s Professional Development and Just Networking Committee volunteers put on a collaborative event for members and guests alike – the first of the term! Attendees were treated to a lively and educational panel discussion, and an opportunity to connect afterward.
“Back to the Future: Changes, Expectations, and Innovations” served as a signpost for trends and the direction our industry is moving in the coming year and beyond. A special thank you to the following industry professionals who generously shared their time, knowledge, and experience with those in attendance:
- Moderator Debbie van der Beek of Ignite Magazine
- Petar Josic, Managing Director of Spoken Artists
- Natalie Lowe, Co-Founder of The Sustainable Events Forum
- Mitch Malinsky, Head of Sales & Strategic Partnerships for Pheedloop
- Tony Elenis, CEO of the Ontario Restaurant, Hotel and Motel Association
- Colleen Nolan, Community Engagement Specialist with Indigenous Tourism Ontario, and
- Matthew Byrne of Byrne Production Services.
Congratulations to the committee members who planned and brought this event together! Your work to bring credible information, relevant insight, and strategic solutions to the challenges faced by our industry today to our chapter members, as well as a chance to network, is greatly appreciated!
Miigwech and Thank You to our event sponsors and donors: Westin Harbour Castle; Indigenous Tourism Ontario; Ignite Magazine; Not Your Child Corp.; Tourism Vaughan; Encore; D.E. Systems; and Byrne Production Services, as well as to Karl Anderson with Pinpoint National Photography for capturing the event through your lens.
We look forward to another collaborative event in February. Stay tuned!
