You won’t want to miss the MPI Toronto Chapter’s Annual General Meeting & Volunteer Recognition on September 20 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in their newly renovated South Building space.

Our volunteers are at the core of our chapter’s success. They work tirelessly to serve our members with the goal of providing a return on membership. Our 2016/17 volunteers have been invited to attend the AGM and Volunteer Recognition event complimentary, as thanks for the work they did from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017.

The Annual General Meeting of the MPI Toronto Chapter will also be held at this event starting at 6:30 p.m. Make sure you attend to hear the successes of the past year and what you can look forward to in the 2017/18 year.

Toronto chapter members attending the WEC in Las Vegas were hosted to a reception prior to the opening session, sponsored by Meetings + Conventions Calgary and AV-CANADA. It was a nice way to kick-off the WEC and connect with fellow chapter members. There are always some new and interesting ideas that come out of the WEC. This year there was The Farm, which had a growing wall of lettuce that was picked and served in a small salad to each of the small groups that gathered for an information session. Definitely fresh!

The 20th Annual Golf Tournament was held June 28 at Royal Woodbine Golf Club on a beautiful sunny day – perfect for golf. The tournament was three hours in length so it was up to the foursomes as to how many holes they completed.

On July 17, 55 members and guests gathered for an information networking event at JOEY Eaton Centre. Attendees not only had the opportunity to see the private space at JOEY, but they also made great connections with new members and reconnected with others they had met before.

MPI Toronto Chapter has a new Leadership Team that started their roles on July 1, the start of our new fiscal year. This is a group of dedicated volunteers who give their time and talent to the Toronto Chapter.

MPI Toronto Chapter is still open for new volunteers. This is a benefit of membership and provides another opportunity to build relationships with other members and also develop your leadership skills.
