In it's inaugural year, NAFA's Sustainable Fleet Accreditation Program has truly represented NAFA’s goal to make a difference in the world. The program, run in collaboration with CALSTART, saw 14 fleets enroll this past year. Now, heading into it's second year, you can learn about the Sustainable Fleet Program and join our inaugural fleets as leaders in the industry!
NAFA defines a sustainable fleet as one that manages and reduces net environmental impacts from fleet operations at or ahead of pace required for environmental need by demonstrating that the fleet is improving air quality through emission reduction, increasing fuel efficiency, and reducing fuel usage. This program also sets standards to create a level playing field so that fleets and businesses of all sizes can become accredited. Fleets are assessed based on their own progress and actions.
This I&E session will be moderated by Jeffrey Jeter, Division Chief, County of Chesterfield, Chesterfield, VA. It will also feature speakers Gary Anderson, Senior Vice President, PHH Arval, Erin Gilchrist, Fleet Manager, Safelite AutoGlass, Columbus, OH, and Bill Van Amburg, Senior Vice President CALSTART, Pasadena, CA.
Those in attendance at this I&E session will learn more about how the Sustainable Program works and how participation in the program has helped to make other organizations better.
The Sustainable Fleet program truly represents NAFA’s goal to make a difference in the world. We want our members to be leaders in all aspects of the fleet industry. Be sure to make this presentation part of your I&E agenda if you want to become a part of NAFA's Sustainable Fleet Accreditation Program.
