Congratulations, Bryan Flansburg, CAFM®, Recipient Of NAFA's Excellence In Education Award
NAFA’s Excellence In Education Award is given for continued exceptional
contributions to fleet management education, specifically regarding NAFA
Education product and program initiation, development, and delivery.
2015’s recipient is exemplary in his dedication to sharing knowledge, his
commitment to the fleet profession, and to NAFA. The Excellence In
Education Award winner for 2015 is NAFA Senior Vice President Bryan
Flansburg, CAFM®, who takes his place next to previous Excellence In Education Award winners Patti Earley, CAFM®, Katherine Vigneau, CAFM®, Julie Furlotte, CAFM®, and Matthew Betz.
NAFA CEO Phil Russo, CAE, announced Bryan's achievement during the third annual
Fleet Excellence Awards on Tuesday night, April 14, in Orlando, Florida.
The awards were part of the Institute & Expo opening night
celebration.
A former fleet manager for the University of Colorado (Boulder), now
with the I Have A Dream Foundation, Bryan has demonstrated a commitment
to education in every aspect of his former full time job and continued
volunteer work with NAFA. After four years in the military, he landed at
the University where he was employed as maintenance manager, fleet
manager, and eventually the Director of Transportation Services. He set
the example early by getting his CAFM designation in 1997 and has been a
passionate advocate of the program ever since.
In his primary job, Bryan is known as a leader, innovator and educator.
He was instrumental in originating the University of Colorado's
biodiesel program, which has been recognized nationwide. He encouraged
and mentored his own staff to become certified in the CAFM®
program. As a volunteer, he has been involved at every level of NAFA,
and currently serves as NAFA’s Senior Vice-President. He will serve as
the first Chair of the Education and Credentialing Oversight Board.
Congratulations Brya!
