Empower Yourself – Don’t Overlook Your “Other” Fleet
4:00 pm – 5:30 pm
Location: Room 20/21
Government/Procurement and Asset Management
Many fleet organizations have fleets of employee-provided vehicles (called “personally owned vehicles,” “POVs,” or “reimbursement vehicles” in the United States and “grey fleet” in the United Kingdom). More often than not these vehicles are not effectively and efficiently managed anywhere within the company/agency, let alone by the fleet manager, who is often the most qualified person to do so! This presentation covers why issues that are relevant to the traditional fleet (e.g., legal duty of care, sustainability, risk, insurance, driver/vehicle safety and suitability) are also applicable to the “Other” Fleet and should be proactively addressed by fleet managers. The presenters will demonstrate practical applications and share timely information on why complete fleet portfolio management should be the goal for every fleet manager.
