The Annual Business Meeting at I&E is traditionally the session where NAFA leaders let members and attendees know about all the great things NAFA did the previous year, and offer a glimpse of the Association's future direction. 2016's meeting was no different, as the proposed changes to NAFA's governing bylaws were detailed. The occasion was also marked by recognition that distracted driving should no longer be tolerated. Pres. Ruth Alfson, CAFM ®, took the opportunity to sign NAFA's No Distracted Driving Pledge and urged all other attendees to do the same.

The honoree for 2016's Distinguished Service Award, Claude Masters, CAFM ®, recently retired from Florida Power and Light, but his legacy is evident in NAFA's convictions and continued efforts in fleet sustainability. He is the winner of the 2015 Member of the Year as well. Congratulations, Claude on your well-deserved recognition!

The recipient of the 2016 Honorary Lifetime Membership Award, Tim Llewellyn, joined NAFA more than 20 years ago, first as Microsoft's Fleet Manager and later for the City of Kirkland. He is also a dedicated leader for the Puget Sound Chapter. Congratulations, Tim on your well-deserved recognition!

One of the highlights of NAFA’s annual conference each year is the Chapter Recognition Luncheon. It’s a time to relax, network with colleagues, and have fun with fellow fleet professionals within their NAFA Chapter. It’s also a time in which NAFA highlights the work of one NAFA Affiliate and one Member for their tremendous efforts in supporting their local chapter.
