Dave Reed Wins Free Trip To I&E Thanks To NAFA Membership Drive

Dave Reed had already planned on attending NAFA's 2011 Institute & Expo in Charlotte, but thanks to his work with NAFA's Membership Drive he's going for free.

Reed, a Fleet Management Consultant from Arsenault Associates in Plant City, FL, was the Grand Prize Winner of NAFA's 2010 Membership Drive.  As the Grand Prize winner, Reed receives free NAFA Affiliation for the year, a free complete registration pass for the I&E, free hotel nights during the I&E at the Westin Hotel, and free travel expenses to and from Charlotte.

"When I think about NAFA, I see excellence from excellence," said Reed.  "People need only to attend one NAFA function to understand that.  We have the best and deliver the best practices, technology, current information, and real life experiences.  I will continue to promote NAFA for the good of our industry.

"As I look around over the last 10 years, I don't see the hands-on experience and the mentoring I had coming up through the ranks," he continued.  "Too many of our new managers are promoted not because they understand fleet management, but because they have a degree in something.  NAFA has to be the place these people can turn to so they can get the tutoring so desperately needed for their companies." 

Reed who is currently enrolled in the CAFM program and plans on testing at the I&E added, "I look forward to growing with NAFA in the future.  I am genuinely impressed by the down-to-earth staff with over-the-top knowledge."

NAFA's Membership Drive provided a coupon for $150 off membership dues for any Member or Affiliate that brought a new Member to NAFA through the drive.  The Membership Drive ran from July 1 through December 31, 2010.  During that period of time, new NAFA Members were gained from companies such as Millipore Corporation, GlaxoSmithKline, Hewitt Equipment Ltd., Time Warner Cable, Merck & Co. Inc., Washington Gas, California State Lottery, AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, Greater Toronto Airports Authority, Province of British Columbia Ambulance Service, and the City of Los Angeles Department of Airports.
