Bill Gibson Joins SCT Fleet Solutions

Bill Gibson has been appointed to the position of Vice President, Sales and Marketing for SCT Fleet Solutions, a provider of fuel efficiency and safety solutions for the fleet industry. The announcement came on May 2.

Gibson retired from General Motors April 30, following a 38-year career there, including 21 years in the Fleet and Commercial Operations division. He assumed the position of Global Fleet Sales Manager in 2001. His team helped reestablish GM as a leader in the fleet industry.

SCT Fleet Solutions is a division of SCT Performance LLC, a provider of vehicle performance tuning software and vehicle recalibration devices.

"With the challenges facing the fleet industry today, and with the product SCT has developed, I feel I'm in an unusual position where I can leverage my personal network and knowledge of the industry to bring cost effective solutions to help the industry," Gibson said.

During his 21 years in Fleet and Commercial Operations, Gibson held the positions of Director - Fleet And Commercial Sales, Director - Rental Sales, and Director - Marketing And Internal Support. His recent responsibilities included GM's Global Fleet Sales, Fleet Management Company Relations, Global Fleet Sales, and Federal Government Sales.

Gibson is a strong supporter of the fleet management profession, and was an involved member of various fleet industry organizations that included American Fleet And Leasing Association (AFLA), where he was a past board member; NAFA; and American Automotive Leasing Association (AALA).
