Hillsborough County, FL Announces Robert Stanton As New Director Of Fleet Management

Robert Stanton, recent recipient of NAFA's Larry Goill Memorial Quality Fleet Management Idea Award, has been named the new Director of Fleet Management for Hillsborough County, FL. He will start in his new position May 16.
Stanton most recently served as the Director of Fleet Management for Polk County government, in Bartow, FL, for the past 18 years. He was responsible for managing a fleet operation of 2,656 units of equipment, 12 locations, and 12 fuel sites. Prior to his service with Polk County, Stanton spent 17 years in a management capacity in the repair and maintenance industry. Polk County Fleet has held the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Blue Seal of Excellence for the past eight years and has consistently ranked in the top 20 of the 100 Best Fleets of North America and most recently ranked third in 2010.
Robert Stanton is a Certified Public Fleet Professional (CPFP) and is Lean 6 Sigma Certified (business performance improvement program). He is a current NAFA Member, as well as a member of the Fleet Advisory Board of Ford Motor Company, the Technology and Maintenance Council, and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and is past president of the Florida Association of Governmental Fleet Administrators (FLAGFA).
In addition, he is a three-time winner of the NAFA-Bell Canada/Larry Goill Award for Innovation in Fleet Management, one of only two people to do so. |
