NAFA Members placed nearly three out of every four positions throughout Government Fleet magazine's 100 Best list for 2011.
The list, which was announced on June 13, contains sixty-seven Members of NAFA. NAFA Members took home the top two spots, seven of the top ten, and twenty-three of the top thirty. Currently in its seventh year, the 100 Best Fleets program recognizes and rewards peak performing fleet operations in North America.
"NAFA would like to congratulate John Hunt, City Fleet Manager for the City of Portland (OR) for being named the Top government fleet of 2011," said NAFA's Executive Director, Phillip E. Russo, CAE. "Fellow NAFA Member Roger Weaver, CAFM, Director of Fleet Management for the County of San Bernardino (CA) was named the runner-up along and sixty-five additional Members were also named in the Top 100."
In addition to the 100 Best Fleets list, the list of finalists for Government Fleet's 2011 Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year Award was largely comprised of NAFA Members as well. Two of the three finalists (Paul Condran and Erle Potter) are NAFA Members, as are twelve of the fourteen initial finalists under consideration.
NAFA Fleet Management Association offers fleet managers education for novices and veterans alike, online research tools, powerful networking opportunities, a valuable career network, and the collective legislative voice of the industry.
