Veteran industry analyst James Bell has a new position — this time with a member of the Big 3.
Bell, who previously worked as Vice President of Corporate Communications and Executive Market Analyst at Kelley Blue Book, was appointed by General Motors as the automaker's Head of Consumer Affairs.
"James will provide expertise on issues facing automotive consumers," GM officials explained. "He will engage in rapid response news opportunities, regional media events, and auto shows.
"James will also leverage his experience as a blogger and commentator to represent GM and its brands on Facebook, Twitter, and other outlets," the company continued.
"James provided advice and guidance for millions of automotive consumers and generated media coverage for KBB.com with innovative audience activity/data collection and reporting, frequent contact, and personalized content for use in 'breaking news' and analysis," GM went on to say.
Before nearly a year-long tenure at KBB, Bell spent close to twelve years in various roles at IntelliChoice, developing brand strategies for OEMs and offering his assessment of numerous industry segments.
Bell's career also includes time as a sales executive with R.L. Polk's European operations.
Also this past year, Bell served as President of the Motor Press Guild, which is said to be the largest automotive media association in North America. |
