Fleet Response Names NAFA Affiliate Scott Mawaka Chairman Of The Board

Fleet Response announced on August 10 the promotion of Scott Mawaka as its new Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Prior to this promotion, Mawaka, a NAFA Affiliate, served as President and Chief Operating Officer for Fleet Response since 2007.

"Scott has been at the helm of this company for the past four years and under his guidance Fleet Response has grown exponentially," says Ron Mawaka, Sr., past Chairman of the Board & CEO and Fleet Response founder. "To promote him to this position was the most logical decision for the board of directors."

Since Scott was promoted to President in 2007, Fleet Response has experienced more than forty-eight percent growth in revenue and has had a thirty percent increase in employees. In 2010, Fleet Response was also recognized on the Weatherhead100 list of the fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio.

One department that Scott and the leadership team have focused on in the aspect of additional staffing is Information Technology. The IT team is utilizing the additional staffing to perform substantial upgrades to its Client On-Line Information Service (OLIS), which will be rolling out to all current and new clients Fall 2011 under a new name, FleetSuite. Fleet Response will also be launching a new corporate website in the coming months.
