Care Ambulance has recently upgraded its fleet, adding nine new units that immediately went into service.
In addition to the new units, Care Ambulance also purchased cardiac monitors that are capable of sending EKG information directly from the patient's home or ambulance to cardiologists and emergency departments, which will reduce the time from diagnosis of a heart attack until the time of cardiac catheterization. The time saved could make the difference in a patient surviving a heart attack.
Care Ambulance also purchased an additional neonatal intensive care unit, equipped to handle delivery and care of newborns.
Douglas Tisdale, Regional Vice President said, "Care is committed to the citizens of Montgomery and the surrounding areas. These new ambulances show our desire to ensure the citizens have safe and reliable transportation during a myriad of medical emergencies and ambulance transports."
