As the slogan says, "Meet me in St. Louis." The city proved to be the perfect host for the 2012 NAFA Institute and Expo which was held at America’s Center Convention Center on April 21-24, 2012.
St. Louis is known as a place where history and imagination collide and the I&E lived up to the same themes. The innovation and imagination were prevalent over the whole convention floor as well as the through the sessions, such as Innovative Cost Savings That Make A Difference and More Straight Talk From Fleet Leasing Executives whose panelists offered a look at the future of fleet and the areas that will influence business and government in the future. Dr. Peter Bishop, PhD also gave us a look into the future and how technology has changed everything in its path. Also Keynote speaker Author Journalist Jim Kenzie provided his insights on how safety will be impacted now and in the future.
The sold out expo floor once again provided clients and partner suppliers the opportunity to connect, network, showcase their product lines and educate on new innovative and technology that will impact drivers, prospects, and clients alike. This all within a well designed floor plan that made it easy and accessible for all participants. Also, a special thanks goes to the supporters of the Expo’s Silent Auction which this year helped raise money for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The Networking Welcome Reception which was held on Sunday after the Expo, and was sponsored by the Affiliates and Manufacturers, still remains the premier Networking event of the whole conference. Whether it is catching up with friends, making new acquaintances, or pursing business opportunities, this year’s event had something to offer everyone. The attendance was great and met and exceeded every attendee’s expectations.
Congratulations to all of the award nominees and winners for their continued dedication and passion to the industry and thanks to all of the sponsors who made 2012 a success, as well as the folks who participated in the Habitat for Humanity project.
A special thanks goes to the St. Louis NAFA chapter and the beautiful host city, where it proves that you will have plenty to smile about in St Louis, and we did! We look forward to seeing you in Atlantic City for the 2013 I&E which is being held at the Atlantic City Convention Center, April 23-26, 2013.
