Congratulations To Oceanside Fleet Management Division, And Fleet Supervisor And NAFA Member Jeffrey Hart

Oceanside, CA's Fleet Management Division has been listed as one of the 100 best fleets in North America by Government Fleet Magazine. Oceanside was ranked thirty-four among more than 10,000 agencies that competed for the annual award, Fleet Supervisor and NAFA Member Jeffrey Hart said on July 19.

The division is responsible for buying and maintaining all city vehicles and disposing of them when they're worn out, he said. That includes more than 470 vehicles, including utility trucks, police cars, fire apparatuses, and ambulances, he said.

"We're very proud of (the award)," Hart said. "I definitely like to think we're the exception to what people think of government as being inefficient."

Hart said the award shows that the city division can compete with the private sector in delivering services.
