Peter Bednar To Be Thurston County, WA's New Fleet Manager

NAFA Member and Puget Sound Chapter member Peter Bednar will be Thurston County, WA's new Fleet Manager. He will be responsible for managing fleet operations for the County’s fleet, for developing ideas to make County fleet operations more efficient and cost-effective, and collaborating with County stakeholders.

The former Fleet and Communications Manager for the City of Bellevue, WA takes over from Richard Weston, who retired in May after more than twenty-three years with the County.

Bednar has more than 23 years of expertise in management and leadership responsibilities in fleet, facilities, manufacturing and operations management, and quality assurance inspection. He worked for the City of Bellevue for more than eight years, where he supervised up to twenty-five employees. He also served as Chapter Leader for Puget Sound from 2004 to 2007 and has been a part of the National Public Safety Group since 2007.
