David Funston Joins Mazda As National Fleet Operations Manager

David Funston has joined Mazda North American Operations as its National Fleet Operations Manager. According to Mazda, Funston has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, having worked with OEMs such as Chevrolet, Hyundai, and Isuzu, as well as more than 15 years of experience in fleet sales and remarketing.

Funston replaces prior National Fleet Operations Manager Denise Husak. Husak became Director, Product (Dealership & Consumer Product Team) for Kelley Blue Book in January.

David Funston was Vice President of Fleet and Commercial Sales for CODA Automotive, a California-based all-electric car and battery company, in 2010. He was responsible for marketing the all-electric CODA sedan to commercial fleet customers including institutions, corporations, and municipalities. He also worked in auto retail sales at various foreign and domestic auto dealerships in Southern California. Funston has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Southern California.
