NAFA Education Steering Board Member, Education Development Committee Member, and I&E Curriculum Committee Chair Steven Saltzgiver, Director of North American Fleet Operations, Coca Cola Refreshments Ltd. will be participating with other volume end-users, e-pioneers and those driving innovative electro-mobility solutions forward in a discussion on how to overcome key challenges associated with the integration of electric vehicles and charging equipment within fleet operations. This will take place at the World Electric Vehicle Summit (WEVS) in Norway on May 14-16.

"WEVS affords fleet managers the rare opportunity to network globally with industry cohorts to see first-hand how others are leveraging EV advantages in their operations," Saltzgiver said when asked how other industry leaders and fleet professionals stand to gain from participating with WEVS.

Global fleet operators like Coca Cola, UPS, TNT Express, and Loomis Money Handling are gearing up to participate with The World Electric Vehicle Summit, a leading international meeting place for the industries linked to the electric vehicle value chain, fleet managers, and facilities managers.

WEVS 2013 will be hosted at the Hotel Thon Arena in Lillestrom near Oslo, the city with the highest user rates of electric vehicles per capita in the world. The organizers will also be hosting an Urban Fleet Integration Summit on May 16, a day of sessions focusing exclusively on how to work with fleet operators in order to address key techno-economic challenges associated with deploying commercial and non-commercial electric vehicles within diverse urban fleet and car sharing operations. More specifically, participants will learn to:
  • Overcome key technical and planning challenges involved with deploying charging solutions for current and forthcoming commercial and non-commercial EVs
  • Optimize mileage profiles, re-charging operations, enhance user adaptability, and develop maintenance programs for electric vehicles
  • Explore TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), TCM (Total Cost of Mobility) models, and deployment strategies for assessing the commercial viability of – and ROI on electric vehicles within fleet operations
Fleet managers and facilities managers are welcome to attend free of charge. 50 percent discount applies for government employees and small companies. All discounts are subject to approval – please email sarah.williams@informa.com for more details or call +44 20 7017 5087.
