The New England Chapter took to the water for their annual Summer Outing
over Boston Harbor, cruising on the Seaport Elite II on June 12.
Chapter members got a first-hand view of vintage sloops and memorable
skylines as they toured the harbor. There was plenty of food and drink
for everyone, as well as good fellowship.
Members brought their colleagues, friends, and
spouses or significant others to enjoy a beautiful late-spring afternoon
on the harbor. When asked about the open invitation offered by the
chapter, Kevin O’Loughlin, NAFA New England Chapter Chair said, "This
has proven to be a wonderful event in the past and we feel, 'the more,
the merrier'."
Cruising began promptly at 1 p.m. and anyone who was late, unfortunately and literally, missed the boat.
Appetizers were made available early, followed by a buffet lunch at 2 p.m., with a dessert station included. The summer outing traditionally is an excellent networking opportunity, and this afternoon cruise was an prime example.
Everyone had an enjoyable day, and it was clear that this particular plan for the summer get-together was a proven winner -- one that very likely will be back in 2014.
