Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Available in the City of Gatineau

The inauguration of public charging stations for plug-in electric vehicles has been announced in the City of Gatineau. Announced by the founding partners of the Electric Circuit, the city is the first municipality in the Outaouais to join the public charging system.

Gatineau Mayor Marc Bureau highlighted that this partnership with the Electric Circuit on this initiative is part of the city’s global plan to promote sustainable mobility and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The Electric Circuit was launched in March 2012 and is the largest network of public charging stations in Québec.  Its founding partners include Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert, RONA, METRO, the Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT), and Hydro-Québec. The Electric Circuit will play a vital role in the expansion of charging infrastructure that will be necessary for the arrival of plug-in vehicles in Québec moving forward.
