NAFA Member Barbara B. Banks, Fleet Manager at E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, and Gene Morabito, National Fleet Account Manager at Ford Motor Company, were honored for their years of service at the Philadelphia Chapter meeting on October 9.
Banks, a NAFA Alumnus, leaves DuPont after 39 years of working for the company. She has
also been an instrumental member of NAFA's Corporate Fleet Advisory
Council. Banks' statement was brief, but she thanked everyone from
Philadelphia, her home Chapter.
Morabito takes his leave of Ford after 21 years, saying how he had a tough learning curve ahead of him when he started. "I was lost at first in this job," Morabito said. "I had been a corporate guy through and through." He said that it was through the networking provided through NAFA affiliation; and through the loyalty of customers like Charles Schnur of Campbell's, Jim Lafferty Sr. of Henkels & McCoy, and Dick Prettyman of DuPont; he was able to thrive and grow in his work.
Chapter leaders presented both Banks and Morabito with congratulatory gifts and the attendees shared the sentiment with their applause.
