In Memoriam: Former NAFA President J. Paul Hubbard (1938-2014)

NAFA was shocked to hear of the passing of former NAFA President J. Paul Hubbard on January 12, in Ste. Rose, PQ, Canada. He served as President from 1989 to 1991. In addition to serving as President, Hubbard held the positions of First Vice President; Second Vice President; Third Vice President; and was the National Board of Delegates Chair and Vice President for Canada. He was one of the first class of inductees to Club NAFA.
Hubbard also served as Chair of the Quebec Chapter and was an active member of the Montreal Conference Committee.
Hubbard joined NAFA on November 1, 1976 while working for Imperial Tobacco, Montreal, Canada, eventually becoming the Marketing Administrative Manager for the company. He left Imperial Tobacco in 1994.
Hubbard died peacefully on Sunday January 12, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Pierrette Hubbard and his five children, Barry, Dawn, Heather, John, Marita, and his grandchildren Jordan, Nolan, Simone, Lauren, Liam, Keon, and Heidi.
