Los Angeles Police Department has recently added a new toy to its fleet, a Lamborghini Gallardo, which will be used to fight crime around the city. LAPD’s newest has been donated from the owners of fiber optics company Light Source 1, Travis and Nathalie Marg.

The Lamborghini Gallardo will be used along with the LAPD Air Support Team and it has already received its police livery, a siren, and just about everything else it needs to fight crime.

The Gallardo has been assembled between 2003 and 2014 in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, and it was offered in two body styles: two-door coupe and two-door roadster, with a mid-engine and all-wheel drive or a mid-engine and rear-wheel drive. Powertrain options include a 5.0 liter V10 or a 5.2 liter V10, mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automated manual.
