The New England Chapter's meeting on September 17 at the Mansfield, MA Holiday Inn, focused on one of the most important aspects of running a fleet, literally: vehicle maintenance. The six-person panel who discussed this topic included two OEM reps, two leasing company reps, a tire manufacturing rep, and an oil analysis specialist.

(Left to right): Brian Grozier, Ford Motor Company; Frank Stracke, Element; Bill Lyons, ARI; Jerry Rogers, Dennison Lubricants; Karl Dowling, Goodyear Tire; Jay Lewis, General Motors

During the first half of the meeting, each panelist gave a brief update of where they see vehicle maintenance issues heading. The second half was devoted to a question & answer period.

There were inquires about rising tire prices, decreases in warranty goodwill payments, synthetic oil vs. regular vs. blends, extended oil changes, etc.

The meeting was well attended with over 50 members and speakers, equally split between fleet managers and Affiliates.
