NAFA Thanks Charter Member Organizations For Participation With Sustainable Fleet Standard Program Testing

NAFA Fleet Management Association and CALSTART have recently received the first-wave beta testing data from Charter Members in the development of the revolutionary Sustainable Fleet Standard Program. 40 Charter Member organizations have recognized the benefits of what a truly sustainable fleet can be, and are helping to create a solution that guides conscientious organizations through the process for replicating it.

The resulting Sustainable Fleet Standard tool, tentatively projected to be released in the first quarter of 2015, will signify a revolutionary step in how fleets define and adhere to sustainable practices.

"These Charter Member organizations have stepped up to help NAFA and CALSTART create and truly prove this tool," said NAFA Chief Executive Officer Phillip E. Russo, CAE. "Some of the most prestigious fleets in North America have seen the value of this program, how it can hone the practices and actions required to be a sustainable fleet, and have said, 'Yes, we must be an integral part of this process.' NAFA wanted to take the opportunity to recognize them and their commitment. They exemplify the innovative spirit and excellence within the fleet profession."

The second wave of participating organizations will begin their work with the Sustainable Fleet Standard Program tool in late-October, with the final Analysis Team providing review toward the end of 2014.
