These tools can help your organization become educated about alternative fuels such as natural gas, propane, electricity, and bio-fuels and aid in fleet decision making.
Tapping Resources for Alternative Fuel Vehicles takes place on Tuesday, April 14, 3:45 pm – 5:00 pm in Room W224B (Convention Center Level II). Andrew Burnham, of the Argonne National Laboratory; and Andrew Hudgins, Project Leader, Clean Cities, Golden, CO; will be a part of this insightful session.
This session will teach you the tools used to calculate cost of vehicle
ownership, idle reduction impacts, and petroleum reduction; where to
find alternative fuel stations on the internet or on your iPhone by
tapping into the alternative fuel station locator to maximize existing
infrastructure; modeling tools such as the VICE tool for natural gas as
well as AFLEET, which can help fleets understand simple payback,
criteria emissions and greenhouse gas emissions impacts within their
fleets; and which tools to access for what reasons, basic information
about their functionality, and ideas on how to use them effectively.
