Electric Vehicle Public Charging Station In The Municipality Of Racine In Quebec

On May 8, the municipality of Racine, located in the Estrie region in Quebec, has announced its partnership with the Electric circuit, which is Quebec’s main public charging network for electric cars.

The electric vehicle public charging station will hopefully encourage residents to turn to clean technology vehicle and also bring in more visitors using electric cars in the region.

"The installation of this charging station is right in line with our desire to support initiatives that enable our residents to do their part to protect the environment for the benefit of both the community and its visitors," declared François Boissonneault, Mayor of Racine.

Finally, the Estrie region now has 23 electric public charging stations including four in Magog, eighteen in Sherbrooke, and one in Racine. Hence, municipalities in Quebec are increasingly joining the Electric Circuit and this could have a potential impact on NAFA Members and fleet managers.
