Anthony Warren Feirer, age 83 of Leonia, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. He was known to NAFA members formally as A. Warren Feirer, or just Warren when he was in present company. He served as the Association's President during 1979-1981.

This was a time of specific tumult for the fleet industry, as the oil embargo of 1979, precipitated by the Iranian Revolution, created problems for all drivers. Warren was given the charge to lead through a landscape of high fuel prices, long lines at fueling stations, staggered schedules, and vehicles that were only beginning to roll out necessary efficiency adaptations.

He exemplified a spirit of service to others his whole life. Born in Weehawken, NJ, Warren served his country proudly in the Army during the Korean War. He was a Fleet Manager for Nabisco Brands, East Hanover, NJ. Aside from his efforts with NAFA, he was integral to efforts in his beloved town of Leonia: as the Scoutmaster of Troop 71, Council President of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, President of the Leonia Community Chest, and was a Lifetime Honorary member of The Leonia Players Guild.

The collective NAFA membership sends condolences to his family, friends, and fellow NAFA members who had the privilege to know him. He will be missed.
