National Energy Strategy
Canada’s premiers and territorial leaders met from July 15 to July 17 in St. John’s, Newfoundland, for a summer meeting and discuss a national energy strategy as well as address climate change.
"What we have here is a visionary document that agrees that provinces will work together to allow the transfer and the movement of energy throughout our country," declared Paul Davis, Newfoundland and Labrador Premier.
The strategy focuses on energy efficiency in terms of development and transport, to lower the carbon footprint and to fund technological innovation and research. The strategy also focuses on boosting the economy, creating jobs, and addressing climate change.
The National Energy Strategy could have a potential impact on NAFA members and fleet managers alike.
