In mid-October, NAFA Fleet Management Association President Ruth Alfson, CAFM
® appointed Sara Burnam, CAFM
®, Assistant Director of Fleet Management, Palm Beach County, Florida as I&E Arrangements Committee Vice Chair. Burnam will be instrumental in the arrangements for NAFA’s 2017 Institute & Expo (I&E), which will take place in Tampa, Florida.
"I am very excited to be on the I&E Arrangements Committee," Burnam said. "My hope is that all I&E attendees...are able to fully enjoy their experience not only while attending the various opportunities to learn and grow, but also throughout their entire stay."
"Sara brings an innate understanding of what the I&E attendee wants and expects from NAFA’s annual conference, and so much of that is dependent on ambiance. NAFA’s I&E Arrangements Committee brings in those elements that make I&E the conference people want to come to," said NAFA Chief Executive Officer Phillip E. Russo, CAE. "She came to Palm Beach by way of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, from 2008 to 2014, and she attained CAFM
® certification during her work there. I am confident she will bring her best to the effort when the conference returns to Florida in 2017."
Burnam was recently hired as the Assistant Director of Fleet Management Division, Palm Beach County. Her duties include managing the division’s satellite shops and Support Services, which include Palm Beach County’s replacement policy fund, the purchase of vehicles, management of all commodity and service contracts, and the annual budget process.
