We came, we learned, we snacked. That's a pretty great way to experience a NAFA chapter meeting!
NAFA's Tri-State Chapter recently had their November meeting in Louisville, KY. The meeting was hosted by Brown-Forman (with special thanks to Katie Rixman and Mary Pat Crabtree for planning and hosting this event)! NAFA's Tri-State Chapter consists of members from Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, and rotate meetings to different areas to best serve all chapter members.
The meeting had two presenters: Bill Lott of Merchants Leasing, who presented on "Reimburse or Company Provided Vehicles?" and gave a in-depth view of how and what to consider when you have employees that need a vehicle for work purposes. In addition, Lori Olson with Pulse presented on a study they recently completed relating to driver safety, "The Effectiveness of Rear-end Collision Technology." The study looked at rear-end collisions and whether aftermarket avoidance technology reduced the number of rear-end collisions within the fleet of John Moore Services.
Our meeting was closed out by a special guest appearance of Brown-Forman's Tim Laird, the company's CEO (Chief Entertainment Officer). He dazzled us with his passion for spirits and gave the group some tasty holiday treats to sample. Tim is a published author as well, and he offers terrific food and drink pairings and recipes, along with helpful suggestions on hosting stress-free gatherings.
