On February 5, NAFA President Ruth Alfson, CAFM®, appointed Gary Lentsch, CAFM®, as Representative of the Association's Utility Line Clearance Tree Equipment Committee (ULCTEC) on the Board of Governors. He will also become a member of NAFA's Educational Development Committee and the 2017 Curriculum Committee.
Gary is currently Fleet Manager for Eugene Water and Electric Board (EWEB) in Eugene, OR. He has been in the fleet industry for over 30 years and under his watch. Gary has been a NAFA Member since 2006.
NAFA began it's Utility Line Clearance Tree Equipment Committee in 2012, with the goal of bringing equipment needs to the attention of manufacturers. The committee's activities also include collaborating on equipment and regulatory issues within the industry, as well as collaborating to standardize the approach to operator training and developing an operator training template that covers the key areas for all equipment. Members also discuss industry concerns and identify lobbying effort needs.
Everyone at NAFA, as well as the entire membership, congratulates Gary and wishes him the best as he assumes his new role.
