URGENT: Request For Vehicle Service Reports

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

To NAFA's Law Enforcement Group Colleagues and Associates:

NAFA’s Law Enforcement Group (LEG) collects service reports from your agencies on a monthly basis and presents them to the manufacturers well in advance of NAFA’s Institute & Expo (I&E) for solution. Please be sure to submit your service reports ASAP! The deadline for this is March 31. Act now!

We give the manufacturers a running list during the course of the year to have as much time as possible to come up with explanations or provide information to resolve your issues during the Law Enforcement Group Workshop at I&E.  The workshop is an important part of NAFA’s Institute & Expo (I&E) where maintenance issues concerning police vehicles are shared and discussed.

By sending NAFA your report forms monthly, more issues can be covered at the next Institute & Expo.  In all fairness to the manufacturers and the fleet managers that attend the workshop, many vehicle issues cannot be answered on the spot. Extra time needs to be provided for the manufacturers to review your concerns and research solutions prior to the I&E.

Vehicle Service Reports can be submitted to NAFA at any time via the internet. Please use the links below to submit your most current Vehicle Service Reports to NAFA and please include the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
Keep in mind, if your fleet is having serious maintenance concerns, please feel free to call the manufacturers’ fleet 800 numbers listed below for an immediate answer and please remember to still send NAFA your vehicle service report form for discussion at I&E:
  • FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES: (800) 999-FLEET
  • FORD MOTOR COMPANY: (800) 34-FLEET
  • GENERAL MOTORS: (800) 353-3867
NAFA’s Law Enforcement Group Committee hopes this reporting format will provide a positive exchange of information between the automobile manufacturers and our LEG membership.

Thank you for your input, time, and consideration.

Sincerely,
Robert Martinez, Chair, Law Enforcement Group Committee
Mario Guzman, CAFM®, Vice Chair, Law Enforcement Group Committee
