NAFA's New England Chapter held their May 18 meeting at Biogen, Inc. in Weston, MA. The topic of Distracted Driving was led by Speaker David Teater from the National Safety Council (NSC).
There were approximately 45 people in attendance. Teater gave a a detailed look at the causes of distracted driving, the consequences, and possible remediation factors that fleet managers could employ.
Attendees recalled NAFA's Distracted Driving Pledge from this year's Institute & Expo, and were reminded of this important, ongoing effort to raise awareness of this problem at this chapter meeting.
Matthew Betz, Vice President-Fleet Channel, SambaSafety; brought a Distracted Driving Pledge banner (on behalf of NAFA headquarters and sponsor SambaSafety) that all in attendance signed.
